Roof materials have come a long way over the years. And they're constantly being refined, tested, and generally improved. When choosing which product or combination of products to use in a roof installation, it pays to be a bit cautious of brand new products claiming great and wonderfull things. New roof coverings come and go over the years. WOODRUF  and PERMATEK are a couple of the better known gigantic failures which resulted in failed roofs and class action lawsuits. This is not a criticism of any current particuler new offering out there. It's just common sense to think about potential problems with the "latest technology" in roofing".
